Detox beet juice (carrots, lime, ginger)
A drink full of benefits: detox beet juice (carrots, lime, ginger). Made with a juice extractor, this drink will surprise you with its delicious taste …
Quick to make and so simple … This is what I like most about this kind of juice: we combine several vegetables and fruits to make delicious, healthy drinks.
Here beetroot and carrot bring all their benefits. I accompanied them with a touch of lime and ginger, to energize everything. A drink to do yourself well!
What are the benefits of beet juice?
Its benefits are manifold. First of all, eating raw beets as the juice helps retain all of its nutrients. Raw beet contains a lot of vitamins (A, B1, B2, B5, B9, C, E, K). It contains many trace elements such as calcium, potassium, manganese, magnesium, etc. It is also rich in iron.
Drinking beet juice also alkalizes the body (often too acidic due to our lifestyle). Beetroot is an anti-inflammatory food. Beet juice is also very good for the liver, it increases its ability to eliminate toxins.
In short, a nice list of benefits that it would be a shame to miss out on! Especially when you are preparing a delicious drink made from beetroot juice.
How to make beet juice?
For this beetroot juice-based recipe (for 2 people), we will mix raw beetroot, carrot, apple, lime, and ginger.
The earthy side of beetroot, which you get to know very well when you eat it, fades very well with lime and ginger. Adding a touch of citrus and ginger gives it some pep. We also enjoy the benefits of carrot and ginger on the detox effect.
To make the juice: it’s very easy. We put the vegetables/fruit one after the other in the juicer without peeling them. On the one hand, we’re going to collect the pulp. On the other, the juice we are going to drink.
Unlike the juicer, the juicer turns slowly and helps retain as many nutrients and vitamins as possible. It really feels like “pure” juice, a very runny consistency (unlike creamy smoothies), so refreshing and very easy to drink all day long.
Another positive point, in my opinion, no need to peel them before putting them in the appliance (subject to having organic products). NB: the citrus peels must be removed, as well as the large pits such as apricot or peach. The glitches can be left.
